Zuma to defend his SONA in Parliament

CAPE TOWN – President Jacob Zuma will have his chance to defend his State of the Nation Address (SONA) in the National Assembly on Thursday afternoon.

Zuma will respond to two days of debate by political parties.

MPs paid much attention to the chaotic scenes that erupted in the house last Thursday during SONA.

Some MPs warned this could set the tone in Parliament for the rest of the year.

The Economic Freedom Fighters, which was violently ejected from the house, did not take part in the debate, after its members were suspended for five working days.

Listen to Power News reporter, Janke Tolmay’s wrap of Day Two of the debate:

Have your say!
